On Monday, March 19, 2018, my friends and I had the
opportunity to visit PT Agility located in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi. Agility
International is a 3PL (Third Party Logistics) company. We get an explanation
of the inbound and outbound processes. In this Agility warehouse check the
goods not manually but by using RF (Radio Frequency) which is connected
directly to the computer system in the warehouse, after the goods are GR (Good
Receiving) then the goods are put into the shelf in accordance with the
placement already set by WMS (Warehouse Management System).
After that done the process of picking or the process
of preparation of goods in accordance with order letters are grouped in 1
carton. Goods to be picked must be items listed on the pick up ticket. After
picking is done then consul / route grouping of goods in accordance with the
delivery route. After the grouping in each delivery route, then done QC
(Quality Control) is checking goods, whether the goods in accordance with the
order of the company or not, by scanning the barcode in the goods. So the
system will refuse if the scanned barcode does not match the order of the
company. After QC process (Quality Control) is completed then done lading hand
process is a process where each valet will be placed cartons that will be ready
dikirm accordance with the route and delivery schedule.
And next is the Outbound process, which is the process
that starts from order processing in this process is done making TMR (Tranfer
Manifest Report). In making 1 TMR is for 1 delivery route. And then routing
per-truck is placed in the staging area. After the complete document, the goods
are loaded into the truck according to the delivery route. After delivery, then
done POD (Proof of delivery) is evidence of the delivery of the goods.
Me and my friends got a group to get to know Herbalife
products. Herbalife Distribution in Indonesia only exist in PT.Agility.
Herbalife direct shipping from America. Herbalife is a beauty and health
product. Herbalife has a variety of products such as shampoo, diet remedies,
milk, masks, etc. Products like shampoo, mask, which are not consumed
are kept in the cool room.
Inbound is usually done from 08.30 - 16.30 hrs. Its
distribution system uses door to door or outlet because Herbalife products are
not sold in general. Herbalife was not sold online. Prior to distribution,
Herbalife products enter processes such as Packing, laser making, labeling.
The purpose of laser making is to identify the
product. Each Herbalife diet milk packet has a different Lot number. Herbalife
provides halal stickers on dairy products diet. Herbalife provides its own
tools and materials used in the packing process. So the Agility only rent his
warehouse only. The Agility Party shall not be liable for the goods that have
been damaged (reject). The system used by Herbalife is FEFO (First Expired
First Out) because most Herbalife products are consumable products. Herbalife
products are included in fast moving products.
